COMMUNITY PROTEST - A FAIR GO FOR ALL WORKERS
Thiess Services recently sacked four workers who refused to accept an agreement which cut working conditions for a lousy one per cent pay rise. The agreement was being rushed through before new workplace laws come into force on 1 July 2009.
The new laws will make this type of behaviour by bosses illegal. The workers have since learned they have been replaced by backpackers. Thiess must be held accountable for their deplorable behaviour.
